11 confirmed upcoming South Korean BL Series this 2022!

 Korean BL Series for 2022 is here....

Korean Drama or K-Drama as it is called by fans is became part of everyone's life now especially during the lockdown days. From series to films to netflix and other streaming platforms you can see a K-Drama and films that showing for free and sometimes they hit the number 1 spot because of good reactions from the viewers.

When BL series became popular all over the world because of the hit 2020 Thai-BL "2gether The Series". South Korea is try to explore and enter the world of Yaoi or the so called Boys' Love [BL] genre. On first quarter of 2020 when they released their first ever korean BL series genre "Where your Eyes Linger" that captures the heart of many fans and it was followed by 3 more series like "Color Rush", "Mr.Heart", and "Wish You". On the next year of 2021 about 7 korean BL series was released.

This year 2022 S. Korea is ready to join the wave and released more K-Drama BL series as they have a 7 confirmed upcoming BL-Series this year.

Lets start with:

•Color Rush Season 2 / 컬러 러쉬 2

Its about Yeon Woo a “mono” who sees the world in tones of gray, until he meets his “probe” soulmate, Yoo Han, who causes his world to explode in color. As they explore their feelings for each other, the two boys, with the help of classmate Se Hyun, dig deeper into the mysteries surrounding Yeon Woo’s mother’s disappearance. Adapted from the novel with the same title by Sesang (세상). Starring Yoo Jun and Hyuk. Slated to be released on January 21, 2022 on Viki.

•First Love For The Third Time 첫사랑만세번째

It tells the story of Yeon Seok, a popular web novelist who remembers his past, and while living his third life, he meets his first love, Ha Yeon, who in this life reincarnated as a 25 year old man who is the editor in charge of Sinb Books. Starring Jin Gun and Jeon Chang Ha. Premieres on January 29, 2022.

• 시맨틱에러 Semantic Error

The story is about a Computer science major Chu Sangwoo is the epitome of an inflexible and strict rule abiding person. While working on a liberal arts group project with freeloaders who don't put in any effort, Sangwoo reasonably decides to remove their names from the final presentation. But he didn't imagine how involved he would become with the person whose study-abroad plans were messed up because of that project. The involved person: the campus star who everyone knows, Department of Design's Jang Jaeyoung. • 겨울지나벚꽃 Cherry Blossoms After Winter

Adapted from the novel with same title.

•춘정지란 "Love In Spring"

Came from the famous webtoon written by Noh Myung Hee. The story is about Jin Geum Seong, a poor nobleman who barely lives with his single mother. As usual, he goes to the mountains to do wood and sees a woman swimming in the water, mistook her for suicide, causing a commotion to save her. •나의별에게 To My Star 2

The story of season 1 is about the actor Kang Seo Joon was once one of South Korea’s biggest and most popular stars, but his career is now in decline. Despite his fall in popularity, he believes he has had a change of fortune when he meets and falls for a dashing young chef named Han Ji Woo.

The story follows Sulwon as he takes over his parents' apartment as the owner and the quirky tenants who live there and romance with one of them. Starring Im Seong Gyun, Shin Ki Hwan, Shin Yong Seok, Ho Jin, and Kim Hee Joong. Coming Soon!

•The Director Who Buys Me Dinner 밥만잘사주는이상한이사님

Adapted from the webtoon written by Toesa. Hundreds of years ago, a child was named after god and was cursed. After 4 reincarnations he finds his love in the form of an employee of his company, a man! If they don't date, they die! Starring Park Young Woon & Park Jeong Woo. Coming Soon 2022.

•오션라이크미 Ocean Likes Me

There is no other info yet about the story of the series. The rumor is that Holland [Go Tae Sub '홀랜드'] a famous korean singer is part of this series because he posted on his twitter that he will act on BL soon. He will be joined by Song Tae Yoon and Han Gi Chan. Coming Soon!

•깨물고 싶은 Kissable Lips

The newest BL series of Moving Picture Co. starring Kim Ji-woong, Yoon Seobin and Moon Ji Hoo. Slated to be released on February 2022 on Idol Romance App.

•아쿠아맨 Aquaman

A famous korean manhua is rumor to be adapted into a series. Starring Jung Woo Jin and Yang Hong Seok of PENTAGON, slated to release in the first half of 2022.

3 out of 11 BL series is already have a confirmed dates of released 'Color Rush 2' is on January and 'Cherry Blossoms After Winter' & 'Kissable Lips' is on February. While the other series is still unknown when it will be released beacuse some are still in production stage. While the others are still on the shooting/filming stage.
